MiDAS OFFERS TWO TYPES OF CERTIFICATES
Standard £139
For drivers that do not have a MiDAS certificate or their MiDAS certificate has expired more than 3 months and only require a certificate for driving.
STANDARD
Standard Certificate
Lasts for 4 years after which the course is re-taken and a new certificate issued.

Consists of two main parts.
Part 1 - Theory training and assessment.

Delivered via the CTA website

90 minutes of interactive and engaging E-Learning, covering the legal responsibilities of drivers and the essential theoretical knowledge needed to provide safe, legal and comfortable journeys.
It includes:

Training in the skills required to drive a minibus.

A thorough knowledge of the legal responsibilities of a minibus driver and duty of care.

Department for Transport (DfT) codes of practice in safe carriage of passengers.

Good practice in passenger comfort.
-
Health and Safety at work for Drivers.
-
Reversing & Manoeuvring of vehicles.
-
Defensive Driving techniques.
-
Emergencies and Contingency plans.

The E-learning includes a multiple choice test consisting of 20 questions, the answers to which will be contained in the training session. The pass mark of the theory test is 80%.
Part 2 - Practical training and assessments.

Conducted at your premises and in your vehicles.

This part of the course takes around 1.5 – 2.5 hours
Each candidate will undertake on-the-road driving skills training (not time specific) and a driving assessment. Successfully getting through the driving skills element leads on to the assessment stage of at least 30 minutes. The assessment route takes into consideration a wide range of road conditions.

Lasts for 4 years after which the course is re-taken and a new certificate issued.

Practical skills assessment​
The E-learning includes a multiple choice test consisting of 10 questions, the answers to which will be contained in the training session. The pass mark of the theory test is 80%.

Part 2A - Practical assessments.

Conducted at your premises and in your vehicles.

This part of the course takes around 1 hour.
Each candidate will demonstrate what they have learned during the online training. This includes the operation of the wheelchair lift or ramp. Taking a wheelchair on and off the minibus. Securing and releasing a wheelchair using the vehicles equipment.
